further investigations show:

# pip show pycrypto
Name: pycrypto
Version: 2.6.1
Summary: Cryptographic modules for Python.
Home-page: http://www.pycrypto.org/
Author: Dwayne C. Litzenberger
Author-email: dlitz at dlitz.net
License: UNKNOWN
Location: /usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages

All my code is (now) Python 3.5.
Question if 3.5 code accesses 2.7 site-packages?

Is there a way round this please?

regards
